Factors
Gas volumes can vary depending on elevation, local atmospheric pressure, or the need for increased delivery pressure. The Pressure Factor converts the metered gas volume to the actual gas volume delivered.

Your Natural Gas Usage
Natural gas is measured in CCF (100 Cubic Feet) The gas meter measures the volume of gas used in hundreds of cubic feet. One CCF of gas equals approximately 100,000 BTU. On or around the last day of the month, an IGU operator reads your gas meter. The current month’s read is subtracted from the prior month’s read. From this calculation, IGU determines how many CCF have been used between the two reads or billing cycle.
An example of how to calculate the cost to heat the home using the current Residential Rate of $2.49 per CCF would be: 100 CCF x $2.49 = $249*

Service Charge
An additional monthly service charge is added to you bill. This charge covers the cost of maintaining your meter, reading your meter, and is inclusive of other administrative costs. As a customer of IGU you will see this charge on your bill even if you are not consuming gas for that month.
- Residential =$15
- Small Commercial =$28
