Job: Fiscal Grant Coordinator
Starting salary: $35-$40 DOE

The Fiscal Grant Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the Targeted Airshed Grant (TAG) at IGU. The TAG program aims to reduce air pollution in targeted airsheds by funding projects that improve air quality through emission reductions. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the fiscal management of the TAG grant, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and facilitating efficient financial operations within the program.

Essential functions:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries and communications, both internally and externally.
  • Analyze complex situations and interpret and apply policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant activities, expenditures, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and external agencies to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide guidance and support on grant activities, expenditures, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify budget variances and implement corrective actions to meet financial targets.
  • Prepare quarterly performance reports, monitor the progress of planned activities, and track any reported deficiencies to identify proper resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, grant administration, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of grant accounting principles, federal funding regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Required to pass a background check and drug test.
