The Interior Gas Utility Board of Directors will meet Tuesday afternoon to take action on a Memorandum of Understanding with the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority, or AIDEA, for the acquisition of Pentex Alaska.
The board will also discuss the financing and integration of Fairbanks North Star Borough Gas Utilities.
The IGU Board has taken additional public comment since its January 3rd meeting.
Public comment on the MOU will be taken at Tuesday afternoon’s special meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the IGU office located on the 5th floor of the Key Bank building in Downtown Fairbanks.
AIDEA and the IGU have reached agreement on major terms of the MOU to deliver gas to the customer at around 15 dollars, 50 cents per thousand cubic feet of natural gas.
Repayment terms of $125 million in ‘SETS’ funding remain unresolved.
